Paint a mural- usually I don't like art, but this was very interesting and made you think, as well as being fun, and my work will be on the wall for ages to some afterwards

What would you do again?

So, that is the round up of everyone's thoughts; I hope it gave all you guys out there some idea of the fun that we all had; and before I go I just want to say that I hope all those Spanish people had a good time to- althought for once I think the weather was better here than over there!

CED week...

Hey Guys!
Now that CED week is almost over (only 1hr 35 more minutes! :( ) I guess that it is time to reflect back on it....

MONDAY:
Today we went off sailing, kayaking and raft building about 10ish minutes away at Stanborough Lakes...to say that we got a bit wet would rather be understatement, to be honest. We were split into two groups... and then half were sailers, the other half kayakers (is that a word?) and I was a kayaker. Having got into the water, it was then we realised how wet you got just from the water dripping of the paddle! That was the moment that I didn't regret putting my obviously rather flattering wetsuit on. After a quick exchange of helmets for sailing, we were all powerboated off the to rather rocky pontoon, where the strong wind battered the masts of the Cuba's onto us- it was lucky we were wearing helmets! We shortened the sails for easier sailing (it was F2 going of F3!) and then headed off... I was with Sam as a partener, and he took the main sheet whilst I took the tiller. Rather satisfying was the fact that, whilst we were zooming off ahead of the others, we were trying to dodge the people who had capsized in the wind heading starboard to our boats... all though, bless them, everyone was very good at manouvering around us too! After half an hours' stop for lunch, it was off out again, racing to build rafts... ours was, predictably, very wonky, and probably the wonkyest raft of the small fleet- although that didn't stop us winnign a couple of races (then getting very wet through splashing from Alice's boat *cough* ) Then we all jumped in... lol x But the good thing is, Natalie didn'y break any bones!!!

TUESDAY:
Today we were off the Oaklands for some horse riding... after having been split into 3 groups, it was our turn to ride first. We did a lot of walking, me on a lovely chestnut named Tom, but did have a go at Rising Trot, which was very fun, as always. After unswuishing my head out of the tiny helmet, we did some grooming... and this time, it was with a beautiful, gentle flea-bitten grey named Jasper (or the Jazz-man, apparntly!). After lunch we did some tacking, and spent quite a while stroking and making friends with Jasper... then, to all of our sheer delight, we were sent with wheelbarrows and spades to 'scoop up poop' on the fields, which really whacked us out and I was glad to get home and relax after that.

WEDNESDAY:
Today we did dance all morning, which was Street Dance, with a lady called Toni... there's not much else I can say about that really, apart from we danced to Oh My God by Usher. That afternoon was eagerly anticipated Yoga- which was quite good, but also funny... we went and researched Yoga, then did Yoga, then watched a dvd with a lady called Marlon Brassiere (yes, I know...), then did meditation... it was good, but I think we al a little hyper...

THURSDAY:
Today I did Cartoon Design, with Mr Jeffcoate, which was really good- we looked at perpective and I drew vegetable people :) That afternoon was Mural, in our art room- the theme was 2040- and I drew a diary, then thought and dreams coming out of it for a random person in 2040- like children, marriage, a cure for cancer, a better enviroment...etc. I enjoyed that, and then we painted Amy (well on her arms!)- I tried to take a pic, but naturally my phone ran out of battery... as always... this day was nice, as it was relaxing... but instead of Natalie, Annabel had a possible fractured wrist horse riding (although she went to Sandridge, not Oaklands) it just goes to show how breakable we all are!

FRIDAY:
Well, this is today! This morning me and Charlotte went round videoing people, then produced a video, which I thought was quite awesomish, as it had music (I gotta feeling, by the Black Eyed Peas) in the background and was cut quite well. Now I am writing this, and Miss Mitchell just showed us how to make these blogs (we had Miss Catton this moring) and here I am writing! We are just about to go and interview people abotu CED week, so watch out for that later on today...♥

Well done for enduring this blog post, hope it wasn't too dull! Bye for now, guys,
